21 gardens in Usk collectively raised £15,620 to benefit 21 gardener nominated charities, by opening up their private gardens which took place on June 28 to 29, and showcased incredible flowers, plants and spaces at Usk Open Gardens scheme.

St David's Hospice Care are incredibly grateful to be a selected charity again this year, with an incredible donation of £1,500. A spokesman for the charity said: “This amount will make a huge difference to the hospice and we are so grateful for such wonderful continued support over so many years.”

Usk Open Gardens is an annual festival of plants, flowers and gardening full of colour and a wonderful backdrop to the gardens, ranging from small cottages to large gardens with the romantic garden around the ramparts of Usk Castle.
