PLANS to build two wind turbines between Rogiet and Undy were given the go-ahead by county councillors yesterday (5th August). Located on the Gwent Levels, the wind turbines will be accompanied by ancillary works and rotors with speeds varying between six and 22.3 revolutions per minute. Ancillary works include underground cabling to Caldicot pumping station, electrical substation kiosks to be located at the base of each tower and a new access track. Plans were deferred by councillors in July as they needed more information.
