TRAFFIC has been brought to a standstill on the A40 eastbound between Monmouth and Dingestow after cows have been reported on the dual carriageway.

Motorists are advised to take care when driving through the area.

Efforts are being made to mooove the cows along.

Over in Chepstow one lane is closed on the M48 westbound between Junction 1 of the A403 and Junction 2 on the A466 Newhouse roundabout.

This is causing slow traffic in the area.
