CHEPSTOW’S town clerk, who has faithfully served the community for 15 years, has decided to leave her post later this year.
Sandra Bushell has enjoyed her time at Chepstow Town Council and has overseen several great changes in the community since acquiring the job.
The 60-year-old has been an active force in the community and has developed strong links with the armed forces, community groups and individuals.
She lists the purchase of The Gatehouse for the people of Chepstow as one of her greatest achievements.
Sandra won’t be leaving the sector completely and has decided to take up a position as a locum clerk.
Sandra said: “I’ve had great support from all members of the council over the years. One former town mayor in particular has been a tremendous support. Whenever I came to him he always offered strong, considered advice.
“I will miss helping teams, community groups and individuals as I find it really rewarding solving people’s problems.
Sandra will leave her role on the 31st October this year.
