THE Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile is back, and it’s coming to Tintern.

The town is set to host its third Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile on Sunday 20th March, and needs local people to come together and enter. The cost for entry is £7 for adults, £3 for children under 16, and £17 for two adults and two children).

Local heroes from Monmouthshire will be walking and running themselves proud during the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile to raise life-changing money for Sport Relief 2016, making a difference to people living across the UK and the world’s poorest communities.

Setting off from Tintern Old Station Platform, the Tintern Mile will pass through the Old Railway station and along the banks of the River Wye, and is set to be an incredible event.

John Sterry, Old Station Site Manager said: “The Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile in Tintern is here and it’s your time to walk or run yourself proud. From the little ones with their parents, to runners up against the clock there’s something for everyone to make themselves feel proud on this special day.”

On the day, the miniature railway will be running and the Victorian tea room will be open to serve a selection of light lunches and afternoon teas. Sport Relief is from Friday 18th to Sunday 20th March 2016. For more information, and to enter the Tintern Mile, visit www.sportsrelief.com
