MADAM, Now the election is over, can we have something for where we live? Surely we can now have some more scraps from the table. Politicians can play monopoly a while longer, but we need some real change right here. We need the problem of the regular congestion and road works on the A40 sorting, not in 2020, but now. The roads around and through this town are in a dreadful state, and there are just not enough connecting roads and ways around this area, anyway. Politicians have argued and delayed the new comprehensive school, and it is a disgrace that children have been taught in such poor buildings for so long, and for the town to have to suffer from such an outdated swimming pool. I know there have been recent cuts, but this town has been neglecting those who live here, the children in particular, for years. So I ask again for those in power here, and those with money here to do something about the place you live. Is it too much to ask for better roads, better school facilities, a better pool and yes better playgrounds? This town could be a brighter gem, it is up to you with cash and influence to make it happen. Stephen Starkie (Ross on Wye)
