The opening of Haberdashers’ Hall in London in 2002 saw Queen Elizabeth II meeting members of staff from the Haberdashers’ schools in Monmouth.

Pictured here, Her Majesty The Queen met pupils and staff member Miss Liz Goulding.

Miss Goulding retired from Monmouth School for Girls in the summer of 2019 after 39 years’ outstanding service.

Miss Goulding, for many years, excelled as the Head’s personal assistant.

An outstanding organiser, Liz arranged many important school events such as Speech Day, guest visits, interviews, Eisteddfod and St Catherine’s Day.

The Queen then went on to meet the Headmaster at Monmouth School for Boys, Tim Haynes, and members of the school.
