MADAM,

As members of Monmouth Comprehensive World Challenge Expedition 2018, we would like to thank all those people who supported our fundraising ventures over the past year or so.  People were so generous and supportive, and it was very much appreciated.

We travelled to Sri Lanka this summer for what was an amazing experience. We spent time at the Fernlands Tamil Vidyalayam Community School, helping to build an outdoor classroom, painting further classrooms and working with the children.

Some of the money we raised was also used to buy much-needed equipment for the school.It was rewarding to be able to help and we were made so welcome by everyone we met.

A further part of the expedition involved a trek up Adam’s Peak, a focus for pilgrimages for over 1000 years, which involved total monsoon conditions, tarpaulin shelters to keep warm, and leech removal from most of our legs! A challenge and many happy memories.

Thank you again to all our supporters from both us and the children and staff of Fernlands School, Sri Lanka.
