MADAM,
May I, through the letters page of the
Beacon, thank the wonderful team who helped to make the village fair at Mitchel Troy Village Hall such a success on 15th August.
Young and old from the village had a lovely time, with dog show, coconut shy and test of strength and many fun games, as well as enjoying the barbecue and drinks tent and then going into the Village Produce Association summer show to see the award winning entries and enjoy their tea and cakes.
None of this could happen without our volunteers and also much appreciated donations from Millbrook Nursery, Chapel Tree Services, Sounds Commercial, Lyndon Moulton of Comonin Garage, Wendy and Tim Pritchard of Common Farm, and not forgetting Gillian and Rob Guest for ’Bygonz’ music and the Hobby Horse.
This was our first event to benefit from the newly refurbished kitchen. We are most grateful to Big Lottery Fund, New Grove Trust and Monmouthshire Building Society for their generous grants that have allowed us to replace a very tired old kitchen with a modern and attractive facility.
Elaine Savage
(Chairman Mitchel Troy Village Hall)
