TWO Chepstow students have won awards at Gloucestershire College.

18-year-old Harry Morgan won the coveted Outstanding Achievement in Any Field of Study Award. Currently studying for his Extended National Diploma in IT (Software Design), Harry has come a long way since joining the college with "indifferent" GCSE results. Thanks to the help and support of "some great teachers", Harry achieved a B in his GCSE English, distinctions in all units of his diploma and has secured a place at Bradford University to study computing science in September.

18-year-old Nataley Simpson also from Chepstow also scooped the The Jake Marlowe Award for Independent Research.

The Student Success Award ceremony was held last Wednesday (17th June) to celebrate and recognise the achievements of its students for academic excellence, overcoming difficulties in order to succeed and for going out of their way to help others.
