A CHEPSTOW woman has made a desperate plea to find her missing elderly dog.

Amy Whittaker’s father was walking 11-year-old Kobi in Piercefield Woods on Saturday morning (1st July) when the doberman disappeared.

Amy said: “My dad was out walking her and he said that one minute she was behind him, the next she was gone and not coming back to him calling or whistling. She’s done it before but usually comes back after 10 mins or so.

“I’m clutching at straws really. We’ve searched the whole of the Wye Valley and had a trainee tracker dog out but haven’t been able to find her. She’s elderly and has a number of health conditions, needing medication. I’m worried sick about her!”

Rescue dog Kobi has been with the family for 10 years and as well as suffering from deafness, she is also in chronic liver failure meaning she depends on the medication she’s been without since the weekend.
