THE scuba diving Santas will be back out in force this December, as they raise money for two related charities.

The event will be held at National Diving and Activity Centre (NDAC) on 5th December raising funds for the Diving Diseases Research Centre (DDRC) and the RNLI.

The dive will start at around 12pm, allowing time in the morning for registration.

It’s the ninth year wetsuit-clad Father Christmas’, fairies and snowmen will take to the deep waters of the dive centre.

The event was started by UK divers who wanted to get together in the festive season to raise money for charity. In total the event has raised more than £22,000, and organisers are aiming to raise a further £2,000 in 2015.

This year, the NDAC will be running a Christmas event on the day, the 12 days and nights of Christmas, where divers can bring the family along. They will have a chance to have breakfast with Father Christmas or lunch followed by a walk through the woods to see Father Christmas in his house and receive a gift.

More details on this will be available nearer the time at www.ndac.co.uk.

There will be hot chocolate and mince pies for all divers taking part.

Tickets for the raffle are available from NDAC or by making a donation on just giving to be entered into draw https://www.justgiving.com/Scubasanta2015
