Wyesham Scout Group held their Annual General Meeting at Bridges Community Centre last week with the Reverend Kevin Cecil opening the meeting with a prayer. He expressed his thanks to the Scout Movement for the inspirational sense of adventure and leadership it gave him as a Venture Scout.

Pictured above are Wyesham Beavers, Cubs and Scouts that were presented with their Chief Scout's Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards by Mrs Christine Davy District Commissioner of Monmouthshire Scouts who also presented gold certificates to four scouts, pictured below.

The group reported another very successful year having entered every district and area event and are very please to announce that they won some of the challenges.

Their numbers have risen again this year and now stand at 126; in addition it has a list of some 40 young people registered to join the group.

An option being considered to accommodate many of these young people, is to open a second scout troop, but presently they are short of at least two suitable leaders.

If you know someone that would be interested in being a leader would you please contact Chris Munslow (Group Scout Leader) 01600 715014.
