SARA was called away to Essex last Thursday (5th December) to help emergency services following widescale flooding and a tidal surge described as the biggest in 60 years.
SARA Beachley was called out alongside SARA Wyre Forest to assist in the crisis. They were later joined by SARA Tewkesbury.
Mervin Fleming, area commander at SARA said: "We had the call on Thursday to travel down to Clacton-on-Sea where our job was to help and assist evacuate people from their homes.
"SARA is a member of the National Flood Resilience team who also sent two teams along to Essex."
