SPORTING commentator and former Welsh rugby captain, Eddie Butler, visited Monmouth Rugby Club last Thursday (20th November) to talk about his new book The Head of Gonzo Davies.

His new book, dubbed as one for all those who love and hate rugby, follows Number 8 rugby player Gonzo Davies set against a backdrop of unrest in Wales.

Eddie's debut fictional novel encapsulates a blend of rugby, politics and Welsh conflict.

The former Monmouth School pupil said: "The book was a pleasure to write."

Eddie even hinted to the audience the possibility of another book unrelated to rugby
