THE Monmouth Rotary is still collecting baby clothes to send to children living in Romania and Moldova.

To date, Monmouth and the surrounding areas have donated over 200 bags of baby clothes, baby toys and toiletries to the Rotary's Baby Clothes Project.

Sandra Davy, the driving force behind the project, said: "Don't throw away your unwanted baby clothes or send them to be recycled, take them to the Royal Oak, Hereford Road.

"We are still very happy to receive these items which we will continue to deliver to children who have so little and live in very harsh conditions."

A local lady has also joined the project by giving Monmouth Rotary several groups of teddies.

Mrs Margaret Stevens has been busy knitting colourful bears with wool donated to the project by her friends.

The teddies will be given to children less fortunate living in Romania and Moldova.
