It was full steam ahead for the annual railway exhibition organised by Rotary Monmouth with Bridges Centre hosting the 33 exhibitors spread over two floors and six rooms on Saturday 16th February.
Many of the exhibitors had travelled from across the country to set up their dioramas with scenes of all sizes and gauge, from N gauge right up to Z as well as OO and O gauge.
John and Mavis Fletcher exhibited their miniature working Gavioli fair organ, although John has now started to put large scale versions on the back of vintage Bedford lorries.
Twelve members if the Wye Valley Railway Society were present in the Roberts Room, showing static and running exhibitions running on compressed air as well as a signwriting demo.
One of the youngest exhibitors, eight-year-old Oliver Maunder from Raglan, invited others to come and ’play’ with his set, all bought second-hand from flea markets.
Rotary Monmouth would like to thank the many people who attended and helped them raise a considerable sum for local charities: "We would also like to thank all the traders and the exhibitors who helped make this such a great success".
