Chepstow Rotary Club has raised more than £400 for flood victims.

UK Rotary has launched a nationwide appeal to help the thousands of people whose homes have been damaged.

"We must do our bit to support these unfortunate communities," said Rotarian Christopher Wilson, President Chepstow branch.

"Accordingly, on Saturday we held a bucket collection in Chepstow town centre and we raised £437.62.

"The local people were most generous and obviously very concerned for the victims of the floods and so this was clearly a worthwhile operation."
