MADAM,

Anyone living north of Monmouth must be pleased that the Hereford Road has been re-surfaced: and a speedy job it was once things got underway.  

How pleasing also to see the pointless ‘pedestrian refuge’ opposite Osbaston Road has disappeared during the process. I suppose it’s too much to hope that the council has saved the salary of the person responsible for it’s wasteful introduction in the first place!
