Celebrity seafood chef, Rick Stein, was at St Pierre Marriott Hotel and Country Club, Chepstow last Friday (20th September) to answer questions about his latest book Under a Mackerel Sky.

Rick spoke about his global culinary quests, where he believes the BBC will send him next and, of course, his beloved Jack Russell terrier Chalky who also received a warm mention.

Rick's new autobiography tracks his personal journey where he discusses his travels to Australia, his opening of a nightclub and his restaurant and television career.

Matt Taylor, owner of the Chepstow Bookshop, said:

"It was a lovely afternoon and it was great to see so many people and listen to such an engaging interview. We had close to 300 attending.

"I'm looking forward to our future events. Kate Adie will be at the Chepstow Drill Hall on the 10th October, she's nearly fully booked. Places to see David Suchet are also filling up rather quickly.

"We also have lots of local authors coming, there's photographer Chris Morris, who will be talking about his new book the Wye Valley. Poppy the Cat is also coming to Chepstow Bookshop to meet all the children too."
