MONMOUTH’S Wye Knots quilting group have donated a quilt to the North Wales Guide Dogs for the Blind. The quilt took around four months to complete and was presented to the charity last week. It is hoped it will raise much needed funds for the charity.

It will now be displayed at the many shows and functions the charity attends throughout the year, and will be auctioned off through a rolling raffle.

The Wye Knots have 22 members and meet once a week in Bridges Community centre. The group’s next project will be to make a quilt for the Queen Elizabeth Hospital trust.
