County Councillor Jayne McKenna for Mitchel Troy and Trellech United has highlighted Monmouthshire County Council’s temporary closure of a number of public rights of way to the public between Pen-y-Fan and Maryland near The Narth to undertake work.
The effect of the Order will be to temporarily close public bridleway 392 and 394, public footpaths 380, 386, 385, 395 and 396 restricted byway 394 as indicated on the order plan.
The Order will come into force on the 13th October 2025 and will remain in force for up to six months to allow for delays, but the work is expected to be concluded in 3-4 months. The closure has been requested by Euroforest to protect the public during tree thinning and felling works
