A NEW town councillor has been appointed for Chepstow.

Marc Le Peltier was elected to represent St Mary’s ward on 30th July.

Councillor Le Peltier said: “I’m delighted that the residents of St Marys have had the confidence to vote me in as the new councillor for St Marys. Thank you.

“As a business owner within the ward I am totally committed to working with all the residents to make St Marys a better ward for us all to enjoy.

“I intend to hold regular monthly surgeries to improve communication and accountability plus quarterly newsletters.

“I have already had a number of conversations with concerned residents over issues such as the ongoing closure of the old bridge, the proposed development behind Hocker Hill Street and the continued issues of ripped bin bags littering the streets which I am now dealing with.”
