THE Conservative Party has maintained its hold at Gloucester City Council after last Thursday’s (5th May) council elections.
The Conservative Party won 22 seats securing 45 per cent of the vote. The second largest party was Labour who secured 10 seats and 27 per cent of the vote.
Liberal Democrats also maintained its seven seats.
UKIP, the Green Party and Trade Unionists and Socialists Against Cuts failed to gain any seats.
The turnout for the election was a disappointing 34 per cent.
