Gwent Police is appealing for an anonymous caller who phoned Gwent Police on Wednesday morning (27th May) to call back again.

The caller left a message on the answerphone of the Senior Investigating Officer of Operation Imperial, Detective Superintendent Paul Griffiths.

The short message indicated the individual had knowledge and information which could assist officers from the Operation Imperial team who are investigating incidents of slavery and forced labour in Gwent.

Detective Superintendent Paul Griffiths said:

"I'm personally appealing to the individual to make contact with us again as clearly they have significant information which is vital to our on-going investigations. If the caller would prefer not to speak to the police, they can also pass on any information anonymously via the independent Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.

"Either way I would urge you to pick up the phone as you could help us with our aim of bringing vulnerable victims to safety."
