POLICE are still appealing for help to trace a missing pensioner from Beachley, near Chepstow, who is thought to be in South Wales.

Edward Wise, aged 74, who is known as Eddie to many, was last seen on Monday 18th July.

He is considered vulnerable and his disappearance is out of character.

He is described as white, six foot tall, of a large build, with short, dark brown hair and a beard.

Mr Wise left his home in his blue Nissan Note, with the registration number NM08 LPV.

Officers have released an image of Mr Wise driving the vehicle prior to his disappearance in the hope of jogging someone’s memory.

Insp Owen Hughes from Gloucestershire Constabulary said: “Eddie is believed to have driven his car to South Wales (near Bridgend and areas north) or the Brecon Beacons.

“This is a massive area for officers to conduct searches, so we’re urging the public to help us by looking out for him or his vehicle, which may be parked in a car park or layby.

“We are growing increasingly concerned for Eddie’s welfare and are desperate for information which can lead us to his whereabouts.”

Anyone who sees Mr Wise or his Nissan Note should call Gloucestershire Constabulary on 101 straight away, or 999 if appropriate, and quote incident 330 of 20th July.
