MADAM,

I never thought that I’d see it, or rather hear it: piped music in the Monmouth Library.  It’s not as loud as that in Overmonnow garage (which some of my friends avoid because of it) but just as disturbing and annoying.

So many people complained when they introduced the same pollution at Waterstones in Cardiff that peace reigns there again. If it continues in Monmouth I shall hand in my card.
