A NEW supermarket in Caldicot has created 120 jobs for local people. Asda, which will open its doors on 13th October, has now filled all positions available, with more than 500 people competing for the available jobs. New store manager, André Ripano, said: "We're feeling really positive about the number of jobs being created in Caldicot and we can't wait to get fully recruited ahead of the opening in October. "We are all really excited to get the doors open and welcome our new customers into our brand new store. "We will have a team of colleagues who are willing to provide world-class service to our customers; we hope to offer them a convenient and easy shop." Customers at the 22,000 square foot store can expect to find everything for a full weekly shop including a fresh pizza counter and rotisserie; as well as a non-food section including home and technology. A 4,500 square foot George department will also be housed in the store, which is located on Woodstock Way.
