BULWARK Post Office will be moving into the Londis store on Bulwark Road.

Following weeks of public consultation, the Post Office made the decision to approve the move last week.

The exact date of the relocation is yet to be decided, but is expected to take place towards the end of September.

The move will take the store a short distance away from its current location at 58 Bulwark Road.

Post Office Regional Manager, Adrian Wales, said: "We understand how important having a Post Office is to local residents in Bulwark and we are confident that this new modern branch will make it easier for our customers to do business with us and also secure services for the future.

"This change is part of a major programme of modernisation and investment taking place across the Post Office network, the largest in the history of the Post Office, which will see up to 8,000 branches modernised and additional investment in over 3,000 community and outreach branches.

"This investment makes a commitment to no more branch closure programmes."

Opening hours at the new location will be 7am to 7pm Monday to Saturday, and 8am to 3pm on Sunday, giving customers an extra 33 hours a week to access the Post Office.
