A MONMOUTH based charity strides forward in its campaign to raise funds after a well attended music night is hosted in town.

Beth Baker who works at The Bridges Centre has organised the event, featuring the musical talents of Longhope based band ’This or a Harley’, raising a total £1,457.90.

She said: "They were great and enjoyed playing in Monmouth - they loved it, but they’re still doing it all for charity. The staff here really helped me. I think everyone who came really enjoyed it, they were all up and dancing, especially for the last song."

She added: "The building is so vital to the surrounding area, so I’m pleased to be raising money for a local charity. It all goes to help people and projects here in Monmouthshire."

Beth as been taking a lead on the latest set of fundraising projects for the community hub with the hopes of raising at least £5,000 for Vision 40, the fundraising arm of the centre. In April she’ll be taking on the London Marathon along with her husband and is currently selling homemade biscotti fudge - for a suggested donation of £2.50 which is available from Bridges. The ongoing progress towards the goal can be found on the Bridges Centre Facebook page or via Beth's fundraising page here.
