SIR, Does anyone feel the same way as myself, I have on occasion used both public toilets in Monmouth and have no idea why they are in such a poor state of cleanliness. I have often seen someone "cleaning" them, but I wonder if all that is done is to spray some air freshener! They always stink, look filthy and the same cobwebs  hanging from the walls have been there years. The situation is bad enough for the locals, but just imagine the impression it must give to the many tourists that visit our town. Andrew James (Monmouth)
