Has your neighbour recently left for a round-the-world trip? Last Saturday’s Lotto had more than 250,000 winners, but one anonymous Monmouthshire resident has struck gold, potentially winning £1 million.
The special ticket, purchased at the Co-operative store in Monmouth, is believed to be worth at least £1 million, but it is not known when the ticket was sold or exactly how much the lucky anonymous man or woman won.
Camelot, the company that runs the Lotto, has issued publicity posters to shops that sold the biggest winning tickets.
Steven Meade, store manager of Co-op, was pleased to confirm that the ticket was purchased at the Oldway Centre store, but was unable to confirm who the winner was.
‘We had a winning ticket here, but the winner is completely anonymous.’
