Monmouth Women's Festival launched its programme of events at a coffee morning in Monmouth Priory on
Saturday 17th January.
The twelfth running of the event aims to provide points of interest for everyone throughout the nine day festival, featuring topics such as crafts, comedy, drama and history talks, catering for a wide range of people and ages.
Events include a concert by contemporary singing group Rock Choir, a vintage fashion show, tea tasting, walks about the town, cookery demonstrations and jewellery workshops.
Talks take in historical events, prominent people in history and include influential guest speakers.
Events are held in venues around the town and include a mixture of business, public and educational spaces.
Each year the festival donates to a charity, with 2015's beneficiaries confirmed as Home-Start, which supports families with young children, improving confidence and relationships between the family members.
The Monmouth Women's Festival begins with a free launch event at The Nelson Museum at 11am on Friday 6th March.
