SIR, On viewing the proposed plans for the changing area in the new pool, I doubt if the architects have ever used one. It is inconceivable to consider mixed showering and changing areas for the public.  The proposed outlay is totally unpractical, even before one realises that the one space is for both male and female users. Within the space, the architects deem it necessary to provide two separate rooms, one to house female toilets and the other to house male toilets. Why this, when we are expected to shower and change together? Can anyone tell me logic in this proposal? I remember the public being consulted on what they would require in a new pool. This proposed outlay couldn't be farther from what they suggested. It makes a complete mockery of the so called 'public consultation' which Monmouthshire County Council so diligently arranged.
