AN art exhibition held in memory of a

Wyesham mum earlier this month raised £350 for charity.

The family of Beryl Ellis, a much loved artist who passed away last year, placed paintings of hers for sale at the Wye Valley Arts Centre.

Sales from the exhibition will go to Kidzart, a charity that works with children from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Daughter of Beryl, Mel Ellis, was thrilled with the success of the exhibition.

She said: "The exhibition went really well. There was a lovely mix of old school friends and colleagues including a group of ladies she taught art to.

"It was moving and quite emotional at times but it was such a positive thing to do. I'm so glad we did it."
