MADAM,

Please could you urge people with dogs to always carry a plastic bag with them because dogs have to do what they do when they want to do but unfortunately not all owners know this and allow mess to be left.

I myself have owned dogs in the past and it isn’t difficult to take it home or put it in a dog bin. Also I certainly never threw it into the nearest hedge. But what has upset me this week was to find that shop-keepers have had it left on the pavement outside their premises on Monnow Street.

Surely this cannot be right. 

Come on dog owners please help keep Monmouth as nice as it is.
