HUNDREDS of cyclists got on their bikes for charity on Sunday (9th April) for the 2017 Tour de Gwent.
The third running of the annual event offered cyclists five routes, ranging from the 20-mile Midi Route to the 78-mile Platinum Route.
Cyclists of all different abilities were also able to tackle the 58-mile Gold Route, 52-mile Silver Route and 38-mile Bronze Route.
All routes started and finished at Caerleon Cricket Club.
Volunteers had been drafted in to help police the event, including Monmouth and District Rotary Club who helped cyclists and spectators by providing a water and food stop as the tour ran through Monmouth. There were also Monmouthshire food stops in Raglan and Tintern.
On return to Caerleon cyclists and spectators enjoyed a barbecue, refreshments, live music, entertainment and stalls.
