Families caring for disabled or seriously ill children on a low income can now apply to UK charity Family Fund for grants for items their children need.
From now until Monday 3 November, applications are open to eligible families for grants for wide-ranging items, including white goods like fridge-freezers, washing machines and cookers; furniture, clothing and bedding; technology like computers and tablets; sensory and play equipment and family breaks and days out.
Families can make an online application and will receive a decision within weeks.
The scheme is open to families living in Wales who are raising a disabled or seriously ill child, aged 17 or younger, on a low income from working or income-related benefits. Families can apply for a grant once every two years, and can find all the information required at Wales programme - Family Fund.
Family Fund is the UK’s largest charity providing grants for families on low incomes raising disabled or seriously ill children and young people. In 2024/25, we offered more support than ever before, providing over 200,000 grants and services to families in need.
