PUPILS and teachers at the Dell Primary School are celebrating a positive Estyn visit.
The school was inspected in July 2013 with the school's performance deemed 'good' and its prospects for improvement described as 'adequate'.
Following last year's visit the school was given five recommendations for improvement.
On Estyn's return earlier this month, they found that the school had largely addressed three of the recommendations and fully addressed the remaining two.
In a letter to the school, assistant director at Estyn, Mererid Wyn Williams, said: "The Dell Primary School is judged to have made good progress in respect of the key issues for action following the Estyn visit in September 2014."
Headteacher, Stephen King, said: "We were pleased to welcome inspectors from Estyn back to our school in September to see how well we were making progress against recommendations that were set last summer.
"The judgement recognises the huge strides we've taken as a school to plan, monitor and ensure progress for every child from reception to Year 6.
"It's hard to measure the impact of changes in 10 months so we were really pleased that inspectors can now make links between our improvement measures and this summer's pupil attainment in formal assessments."
