MONMOUTH Comprehensive School (MCS) is celebrating the continued success of their students in achieving places at Oxford and Cambridge Universities.
This year seven offers have been made to MCS students across a wide range of subject areas. Four students were successful in achieving offers from Oxford and three from Cambridge. Courses include Physics, Maths, History, Languages, Engineering and PPE.
Students have achieved places at Baliol (Reuben Pierrepoint), Jesus (Frances Dowle), Lady Margaret Hall (Harry Lloyd) and Hertford (Megan Kinniment-Williams) at Oxford and Magdalene (Alice Gable), Kings (Lara Gordon) and St Catherine’s (Sam Winder) at Cambridge.
A spokesperson for Monmouth Comprehensive said:
“They thoroughly enjoyed the challenging application and selection process and have admirably demonstrated the calibre of students enrolled at MCS.
“The range of academic subjects represented in the Oxbridge offers reflects the strength and breadth of teaching across the curriculum at the school.
“MCS wish them all every success and look forward to hearing of their future achievements.”
