ON the back of winning £50,000 in lottery funding the Chepstow Drill Hall is looking for volunteers to support the next stage of funding application.

The £50,000 will be used to fund the second round of the Big Lottery’s Capital Asset Transfer program which could net the hall up to £1 million.

While the funding will provide for things such as regulatory input, architects and engineers, there are many tasks which require the help of volunteers.

The Drill Hall Management Committee is looking for volunteers with experience in financial expertise, project planning, public consultations, preparation of governance documentation, catering equipment specification, risk assessments, human resources and education organisation.

There will be a meeting at the hall at 7.30pm on Thursday 16th March which will provide more detail on the project and an opportunity for volunteers to come forward.

For anyone who might not have skills in the areas listed there is also need of volunteers for less specialised areas.

This is the first of a series of public consultations which will be held in the next couple of months.
