MONMOUTH’S Building Bridges was presented with a £200 donation by the Monmouthshire Show Society at its November meeting.

Building Bridges was selected as the show’s charity for 2016 and enjoyed a free tradestand at the show plus a donation to its funds.

The project, based at Bridges Community Centre, supports young disabled people in Monmouthshire enabling them to overcome social isolation and to participate in leisure and work related opportunities.

Show chairman Lesley Russen said: “We are pleased to support and highlight the work of Building Bridges.

“This is a local charity making a real difference to young people in our community. Lewis and Sam are excellent ambassadors for the charity and its work.”

Applications are invited from other local charities for the chairman’s choice for 2017. For more information, please contact Show Secretary, Liz Egerton, on 01873 890365 or email [email protected]
