THE Second Severn Crossing has been disrupted this afternoon after a group of protesters gathered on the bridge.
The bridge was closed for approximately 40 minutes and arrangements were put in place to divert traffic to the M48 Severn Crossing.
A spokesperson from Gwent Police said: “At 1.40pm today Gwent Police received reports regarding a number of people who had gathered at the Second Severn Crossing.”
The bridge has since been re-opened.
The demonstration was thought to have been against the Turkish government’s action in Kurdistan.
