MADAM,

May I offer congratulations to all the successful candidates in town and county elections held on Thursday.

I am delighted to have been elected as town councillor for Overmonnow ward and grateful to those who voted for me, and for the great job done by everyone involved in the campaign. 

I’m looking forward to the job, and working alongside my fellow councillors. I live just outside town, but over the last seven months of the campaign in particular, have become increasingly involved with the ward, making good friends with many there, and I am privileged to have this opportunity to contribute to the community.
