Seven thousand people flocked to Chepstow Agricultural Show on Saturday (9th August) to enjoy the surprise good weather. The sun shone on competitors, tradestands and visitors in the show's second year located at Chepstow Racecourse. Show secretary Sarah Davies oversaw her final show on Saturday, after six years in the position. She said: "We were so lucky with the weather and enjoyed some excellent entries to a high standard. The grand parade was brilliant, exhibiting the fine Monmouthshire livestock! "The main ring events went well with the Jez Avery display, falconry display, Curre and Llangibby hounds and the great children's races. "Our thanks to the committed committee for their hard work and the racecourse for the venue which for the second year has proved popular."
