A MEN’S group is to be launched by Monmouthshire County Council (MCC) at its community hub in Welsh Street. 

The next fortnightly session, held Wednesday (18th November) from 2.30pm to 4pm, will employ an archaeological theme examining artefacts from a variety of ancient places in Wales and the UK.

Organiser Erica Sheppard said: “It’s armchair archaeology, very general and easy going.” 

The agenda for future meetings will be left to members of the group to decide; features may include quizzes, healthy eating, discussions on local history, current affairs and hobbies or inviting expert speakers.  Meetings will be open to men of all ages, with tea and cake available.
