Over three days last weekend close to 1,000 people visited Humble by Nature to see the fine art exhibition, makers’ market, artists’ demonstrations & workshops, senior schools’ exhibition & Hereford College of Art metalwork graduates’ exhibition.

Proceeds are close to £20,000, including charity auctions and the raffle of 2 Rebecca Mickelburgh paintings. Art in Penallt is a not-for-profit organisation, entirely run by volunteers.

After expenses have been paid, generous donations will be made to this year’s charities: Bridges, Monmouth Food Bank & St John Ambulance Wales.

The organisers are grateful to everyone who helped to make Art in Penallt 2023 another big success: all at Humble by Nature, in particular Farmers Tim and Sarah, the volunteer stewards and, of course, the 40 artists whose work was exhibited and who are the inspiration behind the event.
