ST ARVANS church will feature in BBC Radio 4’s Sunday worship at the end of July.

The service, which was recorded at St Arvans Church last Sunday (24th July), will see Rev Father Michael explore how the gospels equips the world to deal with the unexpected.

It is led by Father Mark Zorab, featuring readings from the congregation and singing by Cantemus Chamber Choir.

St Arvans church has featured three times on BBC Radio 4 in the past, although not since 2013.

Father Michael said: “We were talking about faith in an uncertain world and how it equips oneself to deal with the uncertainty, using analogies from stories of pilgrimages.

“In a sense one of the things that causes uncertainties even for the relatively affluent are issues of material possessions and ambition, and so we also talk about the decluttering of lives and the aim of simplicity.

“We do hope people will listen with their coffee in the morning.”

The service will air on BBC Radio 4 at 8.10am on Sunday 31st July.
