I am writing to thank all those that helped in various ways with the Christmas Together lunch on Christmas Day held at Wyesham Christian Fellowship.

We received financial contributions from individuals, the Waitrose Green Token scheme and the amazing support from local businesses arranged by Ian Martin.

We were also given cake, chocolate, and mince pies from local shops and individuals. There was help with preparation of vegetables etc the day before from local town councillors Kelly and Emma along with members from other churches. We had visits from MP David Davies who came at short notice and Mayor Richard Roden who, along with his macebearers, made an impact in their full regalia.

All this and the wonderful effort by those who cooked and served the food and those who hosted the guests. I must also express my admiration of Penny and Marilyn who, as well as being contenders for the best dressed individuals present, held their post at the washing up sinks from start to finish!

It was a huge effort, but it made a profound difference to those that attended. Our thanks to everyone from across the community that contributed in whatever way. Very in keeping with the first Christmas with the Magi bringing their gifts and God giving His son, Jesus.
