A CHRISTMAS fair in Chepstow attended by more than 1,200 people at the weekend has raised in excess of £35,000 for St David’s Hospice Care over the past six years.

The increasingly popular annual event, staged at St Pierre Marriott Hotel and Country Club, saw in excess of fifty stalls offering a huge variety of yuletide gifts and products for sale.

Air cadets from five local squadrons helped at the event and were joined by the Portskewett Brownies, the Kre8tive Choir, The Chepstow Choral Society, pianist Megan and the Nidus Choir.

The event this year featured live music, choirs, festive food, face painting, a raffle and Father Christmas.
